The Bangladesh League is the top division of theBangladesh football fedaration. It was previously known as the B.League from 2007 to 2009, the start of the professional era and an open wide national league. A national league was first started in 2000, before that, the Dhaka leaguewas renowned as the top tier football league in Bangladesh. Since 2007, the winners of the Dhaka League would be promoted to the Bangladesh League.
